With reading week over and midterm exams around, here is a list of my top exam study tips. If there is one that you do not already use, try it out and see if it helps!

TIP #1
Try to spread out your studying over a few days by starting early, reviewing a little bit each day, and setting daily study goals. Think of it like a marathon rather than a sprint!

TIP #2
You know yourself best, so review in a way that you learn the most! This can be studying by making notes, studying in a group, studying alone, explaining concepts to a friend, or reading over material several times.

TIP #3
Research has shown that putting yourself in a realistic exam simulation environment can sometimes be more helpful than reviewing the same material multiple times. So, practice some old exams!

TIP #4
Take the time to eat a varied diet of healthy foods so that your body feels good during the exam period.

TIP #5
Be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day so that you are hydrated!

TIP #6
Research has shown that exercise can assist in reducing stress levels and releases beneficial hormones and chemicals that revitalize you and give you a renewed sense of motivation. So, engage in physical activities you enjoy!

TIP #8
Lastly, you may need to change your study schedule over time, so be flexible and make the most out of the time that you have by focusing on important principles.

TIP #7
Take a break when you need one because that will give your brain time to reconsolidate what you learned subconsciously. But, be careful that it does not turn into procrastination!
